Owners
Kyle & Veronica Heitman
Kyle and Veronica Heitman were both born and raised in Williamsburg, Iowa, and have called this community home their entire lives. Married for 28 years, they’ve built a family rooted in hard work, faith, and a love for farm life. Together, they’ve raised four children, welcomed three grandchildren, and continue to pour their hearts into the land they live on.
Their dream for Heits Kennel & Grooming began with a simple goal: create a safe, caring place where pets feel at home and families feel confident leaving their furry loved ones. Whether they’re tending the farm, improving the facility, or greeting new visitors, Kyle and Veronica bring warmth, honesty, and genuine small-town hospitality to everything they do.
Daycare/Kennel Manager
Anna Tindal
Anna is a Williamsburg native who brings six years of dog handling experience to the Heits Kennel & Grooming team, including two years as a general manager at a kennel. She knows this world inside and out and we are so glad she's bringing that expertise home.
When she's not caring for your pups, she's caring for her own: Roscoe, a five year old Chihuahua/Pug mix, Jack, a seven year old German Shepherd/Pitbull, and Marmaduke, a four year old Great Dane who loves the camera, so you'll be seeing a lot of him!
Anna's goal goes beyond just providing great boarding and daycare. She wants to bring something meaningful to this community — a close, familiar place where your dog feels safe, has fun, and is genuinely cared for. That's exactly what Heits Kennel & Grooming is all about!
Groomer
Chasity Alexander
Chasity brings over three years of grooming experience and a lifelong passion for animals to the Heits Kennel & Grooming team. Before becoming a groomer, she worked as an animal caretaker and volunteered with local shelters, experiences that shaped the gentle, patient approach she brings to every dog she meets.
Grooming isn't just a profession for her, it's something she genuinely loves. From fluffy double coats to detailed pattern trims and big dog makeovers, she brings skill, creativity, and heart to every single appointment. Her specialties include double coats, pattern trims, and working with pups who need a little extra patience and comfort. She also offers creative grooming including dog-safe coloring and fun seasonal styles.
When she's not in the salon you'll find her spending time with friends and family, reading, or relaxing with her favorite shows, usually with a Frenchie nearby.
