Groomer
Chasity Alexander
Chasity joins Heits Grooming & Boarding with over 2½ years of grooming experience and a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Before becoming a groomer, she worked as an animal caretaker and volunteered with local shelters — experiences that shaped her gentle, patient approach to every dog she meets.
Grooming isn’t just a profession for her; it’s something she genuinely loves. From fluffy double coats to detailed pattern trims and big-dog makeovers, she brings skill, creativity, and heart to every appointment. Her specialties include double coats, pattern trims, and working with pups who need extra patience and comfort. She also enjoys creative grooming, including dog-safe coloring and fun seasonal styles.
When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her spending time with friends and family, reading, or relaxing with her favorite shows — often with a Frenchie nearby. She’s thrilled to be part of the Heits family and can’t wait to help your pet look and feel their very best.

Kyle & Veronica Heitman
Kyle and Veronica Heitman were both born and raised in Williamsburg, Iowa, and have called this community home their entire lives. Married for 28 years, they’ve built a family rooted in hard work, faith, and a love for farm life. Together, they’ve raised four children, welcomed three grandchildren, and continue to pour their hearts into the land they live on.
Their dream for Heits Kennel & Grooming began with a simple goal: create a safe, caring place where pets feel at home and families feel confident leaving their furry loved ones. Whether they’re tending the farm, improving the facility, or greeting new visitors, Kyle and Veronica bring warmth, honesty, and genuine small-town hospitality to everything they do.

Cassy Gunzenhauser
As Kyle and Veronica’s daughter, Cassy grew up on the family farm and has been part of the Heits story from the beginning. With a degree in Public Relations and a passion for helping local businesses grow, she now manages the marketing, social media, and customer communication for Heits Kennel & Grooming.
If you’ve sent an email, filled out an inquiry form, or messaged us on social media, chances are you’ve talked to her! She works behind the scenes to keep our community updated, share stories from the farm, and help new families feel confident and informed before booking.
When she’s not creating content or cheering on the pups who come to visit, she’s working as a freelance marketer supporting other small businesses in the area. Her goal is simple: make every interaction with Heits Kennel & Grooming warm, clear, and helpful — just like the experience you’ll have when you visit the farm.
